Boys Under 12 Little Professionals Team
Player of the Game--Scrimmage Alexander
Elijah Robe
Elijah has worked hard all Spring season.
When he steps onto the field, you can see how much he loves the game and how much he hates to be beaten. I saw the look of a defender on his face several times this season as he stalks the ball, zeroes in, and clears it.
He is following in Krestian's, his brother's, footsteps. Krestian has been named Player of the Week this season as well for his solid and consistent defending.
But when we were preparing for our tournament game with a scrimmage in Alexander, Elijah came up big for his team with a goal. That is the other side of this young Under 12 player. He can defend. He can pass in the midfield. He can score.
What more can a coach ask for?
Congratulations, Titus.

Marietta Tournament Day 1 .
This is what we began our day with. The leading team in our bracket had gotten full points against our first opponent. We needed not only a win; we needed goals.
I told the boys that we needed to secure this game, but after the first half, we were still locked in the struggle.
Then our captain gave his team and club a huge lift by scoring a hat trick.
This is on-the-field leadership, and this is the kind of consistent performance coaches dream about.
Player of the Game Tournament Day 1
Danny Goetz
Goetzy provided the ball handling and finishing to propel this team to the second round. We presented him with a hat on Day 2 that all the players and coach had signed. We went in to our second game against Marietta White with full points. That is how you want to start a tournament. The Boys were hot, but feeling great. We went to our Bob Evans cool off spot before playing our second game.
This game ended in a loss, but the boys got a great goal, and we stood well in our bracket. We were on our way to the Semi-Finals, and we knew our Sunday opponent well.
Marietta Tournament Day 2
Coach Doug got them started as coach Tad came down from his Referee assignment on Field Number 1.
As our third game in two days played out we needed a goal, then two. We went in to the second half down two goals, and then our team lifted and we began to pressure.
We got one back from our captain, and as we began to press up, the OTSC Giants began to threaten us on the counter-attack.
Now it was time for our other Captain to step up and keep our tournament hopes alive.
Player of the Game Tournament Day 2
Rider Stock
Coach remembers Rider making at least three huge saves to keep the score at OTSC 2:: Academy 1. With fourteenth minutes left we were pressing in their half and getting chances. When Wesley's blast from distance struck the referee, I began to think our luck was building for next season.
And so it was that OTSC went on to get this win and triumph over Marietta 2-1 in the final. That score suits them well.
Congratulations to our great opponent all season and Tournament Champion Old Town Soccer Club Boys Under 12 Team.
Congratulations to Athens Soccer Academy Lady Tigers Team
Marietta Tournament Finalist
