Performing Technique Under Stress

Players learn technique in a controlled environment, then the stress load is gradually increased so that they are ready to perform under the pressure of a game.

Here the Critical Coaching Moment is the transition from the Bucket course to the first touch of the ball.  Watch the player's feet as he "gets his motor running", and resets his stride to strike the ball with pace and accuracy.

Ways to increase stress:
Have the player hit a moving ball--rolling, bouncing
Move the target back
Reduce the size of the Target

Happy Training!
