Law 1: Field of Play
The field shall be the (40L X 30 W) boundaries as marked with corner kick arcs of 1 yard, and a CENTER CIRCLE OF 8 YARDS with an additional SCORING ARC PAINTED IN ORANGE 10 YARDS FROM THE CENTER OF EACH GOAL. NO GOAL SCORED FROM WITHIN THE SCORER'S ARC SHALL COUNT AND DEFENDERS ARE NOT ALLOWED TO ENTER THE SCORING ARC DURING LIVE PLAY UNLESS THE BALL HAS ENTERED FIRST.
Law 2: The Ball
The ball shall be a SIZE 4 FOR U8, U10, AND U12, SIZE 5 FOR U13 AND ABOVE.
Law 3: Number of Players
The Number of ROSTERED PLAYERS shall not exceed five (5). Three (3) players are allowed in the game at one time for each team. No goalkeepers are in the game.
Substitutions occur at stoppages by notifying referee.
Law 4: Players Equipment
All players equipment shall conform to US Soccer player specifications INCLUDING SOCKS WHICH COVER THE SHINGUARDS, SHOES, SHORTS, AND SHIRT.
Teams will/may be given shirts of a distinguishing color during active play.
Any equipment deemed unsafe will have to be removed if the player wishes to play.
Law 5: The Referee
The Referee is empowered within the proscriptions of the
Laws of the Game. During active play the Referee shall have sole authority. In between matches the competition authority--league director/ Referee Coordinator--shall decide disputes.
3v3 Games shall be officiated using the single Referee system.
Law 6: The Assistant Referee
During active play the Tournament Director may act as Assistant Referee and perform function of advising the Referee.
Law 7: The Duration of the Match
Games shall last 12 minutes in the Under 8, Under 10, Under 12, and High School Brackets.
The tie-break procedure shall be a Golden Goal, three minute game. If the score remains tied after three minutes, then the score remains a tie for league play purposes.
Law 8:The Start and Restart of Play
First team listed on roster is Home Team and chooses goal to defend. Visiting team gets Kickoff. A kick-off may be played into a team's own half (i.e. backward) to start play. Goals may not be scored directly from a kickoff.
Law 9: The Ball In and out of Play
The ball is deemed out of play when it has completely left the field and the referee has indicated.
Law 10: The Method of Scoring
Awarded goals must be last touched by the attacking team outside the 10 yard shooting perimeter. Any goal "borderline" shall be awarded.
Law 11: Offside
The Offside Law is suspended in 3v3 Soccer. There shall be no Offside.
Law 12: Fouls and Misconduct
Fouls and Misconduct shall follow US Soccer Guidelines
Law 13: Free Kick
All free kicks outside the shooter's arc shall be direct free kicks, except the kickoff, which shall be Indirect. All free kicks for the attacking team from within the shooter's arc become penalty kicks.
Law 14: Penalty Kick
The Penalty Kick shall be taken from the part of the Center Circle line closest to the goal, and all players must leave the half before the kick shall proceed.
Law 15: Throw In
There are No Throw Ins. Balls shall be returned to play by means of Kick-Ins.
Law 16: Goal Kick
Goal Kicks shall be taken from any point half way between the Goal Line and the Shooter's arc and the ball must leave the Shooter's Arc before it can be played.
Law 17: Corner Kick
Shall Follow Standard Corner Kick Procedures. Defenders are allowed in to Shooter's arc before the ball on corner kicks.
League Scoring
Teams earn 3 points for a win, 1 point for a tie, and 0 points for a loss.
Week 1 Seeding games award no points
Teams accumulate points toward their Final Seeding for the End of Season Tournament, July 30.
The tie-break procedure for teams with equal points shall be Head to Head overall record
