Nothing is more powerful than teaching a player to train at home
Students do fine learning skills and techniques in these settings, but the clinic ends and they go back home and quickly lose the "Ball Touch", they gained playing with their soccer ball using these techniques a few times a week.
Especially for long term player development, I think nothing is more powerful than teaching a player to train at home on their own or with a parent, using film to send to their coach for review and keeping in touch with the ball throughout the off-season 3- 4 times /week for durations of 20-30 minutes a day.
*******Introducing the Virtual Soccer Skills Academy for Summer 2017*******
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~This series starts with a few technical exercises and expands into a program that allows every player to become their own coach in a certain and practical way. By teaching players to condition them selves to train at home is teaching independent skills, discipline, and perseverance: akin to teaching someone to fish rather than giving them a piece of fish to eat.
Standard training model consists of practicing three to four times a week for 15 to 20 minutes at a minimum. Some of the exercises are progressive which means you will use that skill in the next stage. All of the exercises incorporate bits of skill that are part of the game in every situation.
Parents pay a weekly fee and film their students at the beginning and end of each week for coach review, to identify any technical errors, and to chart player progress. You then have access to the PLAYLIST @
